Editorial Policy

Fruugalist tips are selected by our team and are things that we have done, have liked, and think are worthwhile ways to save money or consider in our daily lives. Tips are never paid for by any entity seeking to promote their product or service.

Advertising appears in standard placement on the site and newsletter so that we can keep our tips coming your way each day and we hope to generate a small income from them someday. But again, no one can ever pay to be included in the newsletter content; we just think that would be cheating.

The world economic situation is, at best, discouraging. Some of us are trying hard not to freak out.

Clearly we are changing the way we think about spending money and what we value.

In these times it is important to remain positive and make the best we can out of the new reality, not only monetarily but emotionally, socially, and spiritually. In that light we created The Fruugalist as a place to post and discuss ideas about saving money and sanity at the same time.
